Large solid-body rigmates in strong original Mason paint, including their original keels. Nail added on each side of drake's head; hen's head is slightly loose. Both black bills are repainted. Branded "Laurie".

A few of these examples have surfaced. All have been from the "Lauire" rig.

Our view is they were made by the Mason Factory as special orders of a common Michigan bobtail style decoy. Mason offered to reproduce any handmade decoy from the original.

This pair was used on Redhead Marsh in Lake St. Clair on the Canadian side.
