Carved hard balsa and cedar with fluted tail. Pristine original condition. Original paint is dry with strong feather scratching detail. A couple of minor flakes. Retains its original pad weight.

From a rig of 12 Hudson black ducks that exhibit life-like turned opposing heads and tails. See Henry Stansbury's "Ira D. Hudson" book, page 59, for a discussion of 3 of these rigmates. Henry believes this rig was carved and painted at the peak of Hudson's design, carving, and painting skills. "They are special."

17" long.
