Mason Premier Canada Goose Decoy
Ca. 1910

A hard-to-find, well-gunned example in fine original paint. Some residue from a varnish spill on the bird's flanks and an in-the-making back crack. Untouched other than neck filler replacement.

Mason ceased production of this heavy decoy model in 1913. See similar examples in our "Mason Decoys" book, pages 79-81.

Mason called this model "Challenge" because it was solid-bodied. We call it "Premier" because of its carved bill notch characteristic of all Mason Premiers.

24 1/2" long.
