Ca. 1895

Rare! Nearly mint original paint with its original bill. Undetectable minor restoration to a belly sliver.

Note the reddish breast color and elongated tail. While similar to Mason doves, the breast shape and color, less exaggerated tapered tail, and greater length suggest a pigeon.

We have only seen about 6 of this Mason species.

See discussion and other examples in "Mason Decoys," page 119.

Nearly 12" long.
