Exceptioonally rare example in good original paint for its 140 years! Solid body. Untouched other than neck filler. Dodge's feather combing is still visible.

Dodge, in its catalog, states, its "...St. Clair Flats Model…, when placed on water it is a perfect imitation of a duck at rest and enitrely unalarmed."

See "Detroit Decoy Dynasty," page 141, where Sharp and Dodge describe this model: "…in fact, the only species of "sleeping" Dodge decoy known to the authors is the redhead, and only drakes have been found." I know of only one other example!

13 1/2" long.
