Dodge, in its catalog, states, its "...St. Clair Flats Model…, when placed on water it is a perfect imitation of a duck at rest and enitrely unalarmed."
See "Detroit Decoy Dynasty," page 141, where Sharp and Dodge describe this model: "…in fact, the only species of "sleeping" Dodge decoy known to the authors is the redhead, and only drakes have been found." I know of only one other example!
