Folky carving with all of Wilson's characteristic features (carved eyes, raised shoulders, fluted tail, etc.). Nearly mint in untouched original paint. Just minor rubbing on the end of its beak.

Unusual open-mouth form.

Wilson was Maine's foremost folk art carver and decoy maker. His carved songbirds are rare, and this one is a particularly fine example.

11" long.
