About Other Factory Decoys
Some commercial decoy factories preceded the Mason Decoy Company and many followed. There is a similarity to the Mason form in most examples, and most of the early decoy factories hand-painted their production. Factory decoys in original paint are highly collectible today.

Freshly picked in dry, nearly mint original condition. No cracks. Half of the neck filler is missing. Minor flaking on the back on the head. Signed "G.W.C." for the owner.

Rare Hays Superior Blue-Winged Teal Drake and Hen Decoy Pair
Jefferson City, MO, Ca. 1925
Rigmates in strong original paint. Drake is untouched with its original neck filler and a tight factory crack on its left side. Hen's neck filler has been replaced and it has a tight crack in its base. See Trayer's "North American Factory Decoys," p. 192.
