Frank Finney Biography

Frank Finney is one of our finest folk artists, having spent his career creating folk sculpture with an emphasis on waterfowl and songbirds. Finney lives with his wife, Mary, and two daughters in Capeville, VA, on the Eastern Shore.

Finney, 70, was born in England. His father was native American; his mother was Dutch/South African. He emigrated to the United States at age 7. Frank served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, was wounded in action, and returned to the U.S. as a commercial fisherman, among other ventures.

Frank works in many media: wood, stone, bone and shell among others. He is represented in many books, and his work is included in major decoy and folk art collections.

We are proud to present this collection of some 20 of his pieces. All are in nearly mint original condition and each is signed by Frank.
